Two for Tuesday

Today, I am linking up The Teaching Tribune for Two for Tuesday. I have picked two fabulous products to be 50% off today.

First up, my Scoop It Up Math and Literacy Centers for Kindergarten.
At 50% off, you can snag this pack up for 2.50!
There four Literacy Centers and three Math Centers designed to grow with your Kindergarteners.
Students can work on matching upper and lower case letters with beginning sounds. There are also centers for CVC words, sight words, and rhyming words.
As you can see, my ink desperately needs to be replaced. It must be the end of the year! I LOVE to subitize!!!! There are ice cream cones for the numbers 1-10. Each cone gets three scoops that show different ways to make 10.
As a bonus, you can mix and match the ice cream scoops to show different way to make the number (Yes, I did have to change my ink after I printed this!)
This is another center for subitizing. It shows how to make a number with dice, dominos, and ten frames.

At 50% off, you can snag this for only $3.00!
I created this set with three different mutli-sensory alphabet cards. Each set comes in color or black and white. I have 5 different ideas on how use them to improve fine motor skills to help them with their letter formation.
I LOVE wikki stix. Have you ever used them? They are bendable and you can mold them into anything! You can reuse them multiple times. his set lasted me all year. You can get them here at Amazon. You can also go to Wal-Mart. After students build the letter, they can practice writing.
Pom-poms and tongs. Need I say more? The BEST for fine motor. Yes, these pom poms are the bigger ones. I have since bought the smaller ones. The plastic tongs came in a set of 2 at the Dollar Tree. LOVE it!
Who doesn't LOVE Play-Doh? Perfect for little hands.
This is an activity I did in my intervention group with students who did not know all of their letters or could not write them. They traced the letter with glitter glue. It gave it a nice, raised feeling after it dried. They also got to color it. I dod not have a picture of the fifth way that I used them. I printed out the color version of the formation cards and placed them with a small box of sand. Students would trace the letter in the sand. That is more kinesthetic learning rather then fine motor, but it is still important.

Make sure you stop by Teaching Tribune to see what else is 50% off.

Monday Made It {FREEBIE ALERT}

I am so excited. Now that summer is here, it is time for my FAVORITE linky party - Monday Made It with 4th Grade Frolics. I just LOVE getting my CRAFTY on. Today, I have included a freebie too.
Doesn't this look like FUN?!? Yes, it is very simple and there is a lot you can do with it!
Awhile back, I picked up several of these nine square boxes at the Dollar Tree. They are suppose to hang on the wall.
I spay painted them white. Then I cut scrapbook paper into strips and I used Mod Podge to stick it. Yes, you could use washi tape. I happen to have A LOT of beautiful scrapbook paper on hand so I used that.
I made a set of number cards 1-9 to place inside the squares. I also made three sets of dot cards.
These apple erasers come in a multi-pack at the Dollar Tree. Works out well for one to one counting
I also got these plastic numbers at the dollar store. LOVE THEM!
I printed out three sets of dot cards on different colored card stock. Each number gets three different dot patterns. Perfect for SUBITIZING.
Instead of placing numeral cards, you can just place the dot cards inside and match the numerals.
3 in a Row-it works just like Tic Tac Toe. Draw a dot card, count the dots, cover the number. First person to get three in a row WINS!
If you don't have a Dollar Tree near you, you can still use these! Instead of cutting out the dot cards and numeral cards, you can leave them together as a board. You can also have student sort them. They will fit perfectly in a dollar store pocket chart.

The numeral cards are made by clip art from Graphics From the Pond. You can get the numeral cards and three sets of subitizing cards FREE HERE.

Have you followed me on Facebook yet??? I have a great FAN FREEBIE on there too.

Photo: 1st place for backstroke

The highlight of my week was my daughter's swim meet. She took 1st place in the backstroke!

Summer Wednesdays - September

I just finished my September Word Work pack. I know, I know, it is still several months away. I just got so excited making this pack, I couldn't stop. I get so excited when i think about the new school year. There are seven different activities that will be perfect for word work literacy centers or during guided reading.

Look at how cute these kids are!!! I just love them. For this activity, students match the apple picking kids with beginning sound apple. Yes, that is my daughter's hand. When your mama is a teacher, you stay busy in the summer!

Delicious Rhyming Apples. Need I say more?

This is my FAVORITE! Baking up Letters. Matching upper and lower case letters.

Build a Bushel of Sight Words. there are 10 different sight words, perfect for back to school.

This is actually a sight word recognition game, but I thought it would be fun to match the magnetic letters.

And THIS is my new FREEBIE celebrating my new FACEBOOK page!

WHAT?!?! Yes! I FINALLY got a Facebook page!!!

How fun is this??? Kids count the apples and place the correct bushel on the ten frame. How do you get this adorable freebie??? You just need to like my Facebook page.

Meet Me Monday

Good Morning. As I was sipping my coffee and reading my favorite blogs, I stumbled across:

I thought, wow, what a fun way to start my day. So I am linking up with Teaching Tribune.

My Summer Bucket List...which had become a mix of Bucket/To getting longer EVERYDAY. I have so much I want to do and I feel like I need to make the most of EVERY single MINUTE. I love funny shows. Wednesday night seems to me my TV night. It's a great way to make it through Hump Day. Since everything is in reruns, I don't really watch much TV,  which means I am more productive and I get READ more. Anyway, I have a lot to do today, so I am off to check off my Bucket/To Do list. Have a great Monday!
