Read Across America Happy Birthday, Dr.Seuss!

It's hard to believe it is almost March, which means it is almost time to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday.
Does yoru school do anything for Read Across America? We just celebrate in our own classrooms. I have some silly centers that could be used to celebratethis week (or Memorial Day or 4th of July), a FREE Fishy Math craft, and a cute door idea.

How cute is this door that my coworker made??? They printed off book covers to put the balloons. Can you tell the cake is 3D???

Your class will love building sight words with this adorable center. There are 18 different sight words with this center. This is one of the four literacy centers in my Whimsical Birthday Fun (these centers can also be used for Memorial Day or 4th of July). These centers will be on SALE until March 2nd.

Of course, there is a real and nonsense word sort with CVC words.

And, there are rhyming word puzzles. The forth center is CVC word building cards (not pictured).

There are 5 differentiated math centers. We have been working hard on number bonds in our class.

Roll and cover games are simple and easy to prep.
We practiced addition and subtraction with a ten frame. How cute are these red white and blue stars? I found these at Target a few years ago. Again, perfect for Birthday Celebrations, Memorial Day, and 4th of July.

I just bought these stamps in the Target Dollar spot. Truth, I have been collecting A LOT of these stamps from Target and Dollar Tree. I made this FREE recording sheet that can be used with ANY stamps you may have. You can this HERE FREE.

Finally, I made this adorable (and FREE) Fish Bowl Craft. Stunets decide how many red and blue fish to put in the bowl. We did sums of ten, of course. You can download this free HERE.

I hope your class enjoy Read Across America!
